Every graduation gown tells a story, but Solomon Ssettimba's carries one that started thousands of kilometres away, in Kampala, Uganda. Like many ambitious young Ugandans, Solomon dreamed of studying abroad but wasn't sure which door to knock on first - which university to trust, which visa route to follow, or how to turn a dream discussed over dinner into an actual seat in an Australian lecture hall. That is where MAREBH came in.

The Journey With MAREBH

Solomon is one of the students MAREBH personally guided and accompanied on the journey to study in Australia - from the very first consultation at our Kampala office, through university and course selection, application paperwork, and the student visa process, all the way to his departure. Our consultants worked closely with Solomon and his family at every stage, making sure deadlines were met, documents were in order, and - just as importantly - that he felt prepared and supported for what lay ahead in a new country.

"MAREBH didn't just help me get an admission letter - they walked with me through the entire process, right up until I stepped onto Australian soil."

Life and Study at Deakin University

Solomon went on to pursue his studies at Deakin University, one of Australia's leading institutions, known for its strong student support services, modern facilities, and career-focused approach to education. Like many international students, he had to adapt to a new academic system, a new culture, and life away from home - but he threw himself into his studies with discipline and determination, building the kind of resilience that study abroad consistently demands of the students who succeed at it.

Graduation Day

That hard work came full circle on graduation day, captured in the photo above - Solomon in his academic gown, receiving his certificate on stage, with pride written all over his face. For MAREBH, moments like these are exactly why we do this work: not simply to process applications, but to walk students through a genuine transformation, from first-time applicants full of questions to confident graduates holding a globally recognised degree.

A Message to Future Students

Solomon's story is proof that with the right guidance, honest preparation, and a willingness to put in the work, studying abroad is an achievable goal for Ugandan students - not just a far-off dream. If you are considering studying in Australia or elsewhere and are not sure where to begin, Solomon's journey is a reminder that the first step is often the hardest one, and that you don't have to take it alone.
